Dawgs Fall to Red Sox

Wednesday July 11, 2012

The Okotoks Dawgs traveled to Regina today to take on the Red Sox in a rematch of last year’s finals. The Red Sox got the best of the Dawgs tonight with a final score of 9 – 3. Even with the loss the Dawgs are still a half game up on the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the West Division.

Ryan Rogers got the start tonight and was only able to go 3 innings while giving up 6 runs. Dawgs alumni Brendan Ethier did his best to keep the game as close as possible throwing 3 innings and only gave up 1 run while striking out 3.

The Dawgs bats were quiet until the 7th inning when they put up 3 runs, but it was too little too late.

The Dawgs and Red Sox will be back at it tomorrow night at 7pm. They have now lost two straight games, which gives them a 19-9 record on the season.
