The Okotoks Dawgs (2-0) play host to the Edmonton Prospects (1-0) at Seaman Stadium Sunday, June 4. First pitch flies at 2:05 pm.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT
The Dawgs took full advantage of inefficiency and mental errors from the Medicine Hat Mavericks pitching staff last night, scoring three times on a hit-by-pitch and twice due to errors. Okotoks didn’t look in the rearview mirror following a five-run outburst in the sixth, holding on for a series sweep and a 14-11 victory. In his Dawgs debut, Darius Foster (Oregon State University) registered three base-hits and an RBI, earning him Dawg of the game.
The last time the Dawgs started the season 2-0 was in 2010 when they took down the Moose Jaw Miller Express in back-to-back games.
TEDDY BEAR DONATIONS
Make sure to bring your teddy bears to Seaman Stadium as the Dawgs take on the Prospects. All bears collected will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House and other local charities. We will have our donation box set up just outside the main gates.
