The Okotoks Dawgs (12-8) host the Brooks Bombers (6-14) at home for the second time this season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.

TO RECAP
The comeback fell short for the Dawgs last night, dropping a 7-4 game to the Lethbridge Bulls in hostile territory. With the loss, Okotoks moved to 1.5 games back of first place in the West division. The top of the order for the red and white did the majority of the damage, combining for nine hits, three runs and four RBI between the top four hitters. Among them, it was Greg Cullen who led the pack with a four-hit night, driving in one and crossing the plate twice.

WELCOME BACK
Tyler Graham returned just in time for first pitch last night in Lethbridge. The Director of Player Development at Oregon State University is back behind the bench for his second year with Okotoks. He commented on the expectations for his club this time around. “There’s always high expectations to win, no matter where you are at.”

VICKERS TO VIRGINIA TECH
The Okotoks Dawgs are proud to announce that left-handed pitcher, Nick Vickers, has committed to play for the NCAA division one Virginia Tech Hokies of the ACC this fall. "It's something I've been working for my entire life," he said. "So it's a dream come true." The Calgary, AB product enjoyed a fantastic year with Colby Community College a season ago, leading the team in strikeouts with 87 over 60 innings pitched, while holding an ERA of 3.58. With the Dawgs in 2017, he's fanned 14 over nine innings of work, good for second on the club. Virginia Tech has added the lefty following a 23-32 campaign, while finishing the year 14-13 in the friendly confines of English Field at Union Park. In the 2017 MLB draft, two Hokies were selected.
