The Okotoks Dawgs (17-9) host the Weyburn Beavers (13-13) in their second of a two-game series tonight. First pitch flies at 7:05pm.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the red and white strung six straight hits together last night, coming back from a 6-3 deficit to win the series opener, 7-6. Cameron Campbell capped off the night with an RBI single to right field, scoring Darius Foster for the winning run. Kody Funderburk turned on the jets earlier for an inside the park home run. On the mound, CJ Lewington was as efficient as they come, scattering five hits over six innings of work -- his best outing this season. The veteran right-hander made one mistake all night, serving up a two-run blast to Ulysses Fluellen. Other than that, the Calgary product was in command and all around the plate, striking out four while issuing no walks.

Okotoks has had their taste of walk-off victories this season. Last night was their third of the year. Greg Cullen previously had two against the Medicine Hat Mavericks and Brooks Bombers before Cameron Campbell’s RBI single against the Beavers.

Jack Rupe gets the ball in tonight’s finale against Weyburn. Rupe pitched a gem his last time out, surrendering just two runs over seven innings of work. He struck out seven to earn his first win of the campaign.

It’s July 4, so come hang out at the ballpark as we Salute the USA today! Salute to the USA presented by Okotoks Orthodontics will be nothing short of spectacular as the Dawgs look for back-to-back wins -- Spare Ribs are available at all patios, so come take advantage while the BBQ is sizzlin’!
