The Okotoks Dawgs (21-10) take to the road against the Brooks Bombers (11-20) tonight, July 12, looking for their fifth straight win. The red and white are a perfect 4-0 against Brooks this season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
The Dawgs won their fourth game in a row as they defeated the Edmonton Prospects 10-2 on the back of an explosive six-run sixth inning, Sunday, July 9. The Dawgs were led by Anthony Balderas, who picked up his third win while dealing seven innings. Balderas allowed five hits, one run, one walk and struck out six. Brennen Lauffenburger came in to pitch the eighth inning, allowing no hits or runs and struck out one. Zack Demchenko finished the game off, allowing three hits, one run and striking out one as well.
Throughout the campaign, the Dawgs have strung together four straight wins four times, unable to make it five in a row. Tonight in Brooks, they have another shot at breaking through.

CJ Lewington gets the nod tonight for Okotoks. Lewington is coming off his best outing of the season to date, firing six innings of two-run baseball while striking out four.
LEADING THE PACK
The Dawgs have had an outstanding season on both sides of the baseball. Currently, Matt Lloyd leads the WMBL in average, hitting .417, while Kody Funderburk has belted a WMBL leading nine home runs. On the mound, Chris Horvath and his 3.53 ERA is good for sixth in the league.
