GAME NOTES: Dawgs vs. Mavericks

The Okotoks Dawgs (23-10) host the Medicine Hat Mavericks (18-16) tonight, July 15, looking for their seventh straight win. The red and white are 3-2 against the Mavericks this year.

TO RECAP
The Dawgs continued to roll in Medicine Hat, July 13, earning their sixth straight victory, 12-5. Okotoks collected 10 hits, highlighted by Cameron Campbell and Greg Cullen who blasted the Dawgs’ eighth and ninth home run in the last two games -- driving in six between the two. Eddie Sanchez accumulated his 11th multi-hit game of the season while Brendan Rose chipped in with two hits of his own in the victory.

CREATING SEPARATION
With their sixth straight win, Okotoks has now successfully pulled away from the rest of the West division. Following their 12-5 victory against the Mavericks, the red and white now have a 3.5 game lead on the second place Lethbridge Bulls. They are also a half-game up for the best record in the WMBL.

FIRST OF THE SEASON
The Dawgs have now hit nine home runs in their last two games. Over the course of that span, three players hit their first bombs of the season. Cameron Campbell, who now sits at two, Darius Foster and Greg Cullen all went yard for the first time.

PLAYOFF TICKETS
The Dawgs will begin selling our nine-game playoff ticket packages today, July 15. From July 15-21, season ticket holders will pay $135 ($15/game). Non-season ticket holders will pay $180 ($20/game). After July 21, however, all playoff packages will be $180. Individual playoff ticket sales will be available online once the playoff schedule is released.
