With a 3-2 lead in the ninth last night, the Edmonton Prospects stole a 4-3 walk-off victory over the Dawgs, sweeping the two-game series. The offence from Edmonton plated two off a trio of singles to earn their second win of the day. For the Dawgs, starter Justin Vernia settled in nicely after the first frame, throwing seven innings of two-run baseball in the no-decision. At one point, the Gonzaga product retired 13 straight Prospects. Matt Lloyd stretched his hitting streak to 24 games in the loss, going 1-4 on the night. Justin King collected his first multi-hit game of 2017, finishing the contest 2-3.
