Organizationally, the Dawgs are run by a Board of Directors, all volunteers, which include former athletes as well as successful professionals and businessmen. The Managing and Founding Partner of the Dawgs is John Ircandia, a partner in the Calgary office of the national law firm of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. John played baseball dating back to his childhood in Trail, B.C. and spent several years coaching the Dawgs.

In 2003, Calgary residents Don Johnston, William Gardner and William Tanguay joined the Board. Mr. Johnston is a former bobsledder and currently serves as Vice President of “Technology, Magic and Fun” with Prairie Merchant. Don has provided the Dawgs with invaluable guidance in all technology areas. Mr. Gardner is a principal with Wm. Gardner Agencies and brings an extensive sales and promotional background to the Dawgs. William heads up the Dawgs game day promotions and serves as Vice President of Community Relations. Mr. Tanguay is a chemist with Metro Tech Systems and a 60 year baseball enthusiast. Bill’s passion for the sport dates back to days when Jackie Robinson and Tommy Lasorda played their AAA baseball at Delorimier Park not too far from Jarry Park in Montreal.

In 2006, Edmonton resident and Sobey's marketing executive Clint Fystro brought his business and baseball expertise to the Dawgs. Clint is a former Team Alberta General Manager. With the Dawgs' relocation to Okotoks in 2007, the Dawgs added local rancher and former rugby player, Jim Wildeman to the Board along with South Calgary's Jim Amy, who is responsible for the Dawgs concessions and serves as Vice President, Food & Beverage.

With an eye towards the future, in 2012 the Dawgs added Vincent Ircandia, Matthew Ircandia and Blake Wildeman to the Board. Vince is a former Dawg and Freshman All American at Niagara University (BSC Finance) with an MBA from the University of Southern California. His business experience includes investment banking with Tristone Equities in Calgary, sports management with the AEG Group in Los Angeles and more recently, Vice President, Business Operations and Analytics with the Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA. Matthew, another former Dawg, was a draft pick of the San Francisco Giants and played his college baseball at Washington State and Niagara University. Matt’s background after graduation (BSC, Business) includes 2 years of banking with BMO and serving as Jr. Financial Analyst with Tourmaline Oil Corp. Matt is responsible for accounting with the Dawgs Baseball Academy. Blake is a former junior hockey player who graduated with a Land Acquisition and Management diploma from Olds College. He spent several years as a landman in Calgary before joining the Premier Hockey Training Center as Sales and Marketing Manager and Instructor.

In 2013, the Dawgs added Pablo Forno to the Board of Directors. Pablo joined the Dawgs in 2003 as a coach and has been with the organization ever since. Pablo is a key contributor to the Dawgs organization as he is the president of Grand Slam Sports in Okotoks and is the official merchandise and baseball equipment supplier of the Okotoks Dawgs.
